The Clairemont area isn’t the flashiest part of San Diego, but you know what? It’s incredibly practical. You’re about 10 minutes from SeaWorld (hence the name), and Mission Bay is right there too. I actually prefer staying in this neighborhood because you avoid the tourist crowds but can still reach Balboa Park, the beaches, and downtown pretty easily. There’s a Vons grocery store just a few minutes away, which comes in handy when you have a full kitchen to work with.

Walking inside, the space feels bigger than you’d expect — four actual bedrooms means everyone gets their own room, which is rare in San Diego accommodations unless you’re paying serious money. The living area opens up nicely, and there’s this full kitchen that actually has everything you need (not just a mini-fridge and microwave like most places).
